Description

Lemongrass is a perennial herb growing in open tropical dry soils in southern India and Sri Lanka. The whole plant has lemon aroma, rarely spikes flowering, so the root part of the plant or stem tillers. Occasionally flowering in summer and autumn, its inflorescence is loose conical inflorescence.

Lemongrass oil has a powerful citrus scent that used to add flavor to a dish and make perfume. In Thailand recipes, they are often used as spices. It is also a traditional medicine used in India to treat infectious diseases and fever.
