Description
Lemon is an evergreen plant that can grow to a height of 6m. The leaves are dark green, ovoid, with serrated edges, pink or white flowers, with a strong fragrance. The tree is prickly and the fruit matures from green to yellow. It thrive in mild, warm climates like Mexico, California, and India.
The English word "Lemon" for lemon comes from Arabic "laimun" or Persian "limun". Lemons have been used in Ayurveda since ancient times owing to their great medicinal benefits. Lemon fruit is rich in vitamins A, B, and C.
